Pre-Kindergarten Teachers


Ms. Hawkins

Sandy has lived in Georgetown for 11 years and has taught at our school for three years. She and her husband Brian have been married for 18 years and they have three children: Brandon 11, Carley 9, and Tyler 8.  Sandy enjoys supporting her children in various activities and going on family vacations. In her spare time Sandy loves going to the beach.

Ms. Jansen

Teri lives in Georgetown, but is relatively new to Texas having only lived here for a year and a half.  She and her husband Tyler have been married for 10 years and have three children, McKenna 8, Raegan 6 and Eli 5.  Although this is her first year at FBC, with over 15 years of preschool experience in the classroom and in administration, she is not new to the teaching field.  In her free time, Teri enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, photography, volunteering at school & church, reading, watching University of Kansas basketball & going to the movies.

Ms. Kramer

Marlyn has lived in Georgetown for 17 years and has taught at our school for five years. She has been married to Jim for 14 and a half years. Marlyn has three grown children and seven grandchildren: Kyle 19, Karlie 16, Kennedy 11, Cole 9, Ryan 8, Evan 6, and Xavier 3. Previously Marlyn taught first grade in Austin ISD. She has a wide variety of interests including Longhorn sports (especially football), professional bull riding (she is a stock contractor), volunteering at R.O.C.K, swimming, quilting, reading, traveling, and most of all playing with her grandkids, of course.

Ms. McGinnity

Laura has lived in Georgetown for five years. This is her second year to teach Pre-K at our school – she previously taught two year olds here. She and her husband Mark have been married for 17 years and they have three children: Justin 13, Shawn who now lives with Jesus, and Grant 10.  In her free time Laura loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys reading, cooking, biking, hiking, tennis and golf.

Ms. McKenna

Darla has lived in Liberty Hill for eleven years and has worked for our school for the past nine years. She and her husband Corey, an Austin police officer, celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary in December of this year. They have two sons: Colton 12, a 7th grader at Liberty Hill Junior High and Dalton 7 and a half, a 2nd grader at Bill Burden Elementary in Liberty Hill. In her spare time Darla enjoys horseback riding, reading, swimming, golf and just being outside. Darla and her husband have a business that sells western apparel, bling shirts for women, and cowhide purses and wallets, plus caps and jewelry.

Ms. Quiroz

Shari lives in Georgetown with her husband Steven. This is hersecond year to teach at our preschool, but Steven and Shari met 20 years ago at Reilly Elementary in Austin working at an afterschool program offering emotional and academic support to elementary children. They have been married 18 years and have three children – Lane who is 16 and a Junior, Georgia who is  12 and in 7th grade and Ellie who is 7 and is in 1st grade . In her free time she enjoys summers at the beach, photography, reading, movies and attending sporting events. Shari is devoted to every child she meets and desires to touch their hearts and educate their minds.
